Provenance · Opening later
Every number has a next owner.
Each Cassien is numbered, and each edition closes for good. Provenance will be the house's own place to pass an earlier number on, verified by the atelier that made it.

How it will work
Offer your number
If you own a piece from an earlier edition, you offer it to the house. Your order and the serial inside the case show that it is yours.
It returns to the atelier
You send the piece back to us. We match its number to our records, then inspect it, clean it and grade its condition.
Shown to the next owner
Verified pieces appear on Provenance with their edition, number, condition and how many owners they have had.
Passed on
The buyer pays the house and we ship the piece to them. Once it has arrived safely, the seller is paid and the number passes to its new owner.
The house’s terms
These are the terms we intend to open with. The full terms will be published before the first piece is offered.
- The seller
- Pays a commission of 20% of the sale price.
- The buyer
- Pays the sale price plus 5%.
- For example
- A piece sold for ₹2,500: the buyer pays ₹2,625 and the seller receives ₹2,000.
- Every piece
- Is in the atelier’s hands, and has been checked by us, before it is offered.
Not open yet
Nothing can be offered or bought on Provenance today. Letters from the atelier will say when it opens, and our letter readers will be told first.
